Sun Pyramid--a small, tight and fast paced death-match design--was my first work with the Unreal engine. I finished it rather quickly but the results were very pleasing.
It is, as has become customary of my works, very beautiful and oriented towards a play in between symmetrical and asymmetrical features, with a good dose of vertical line-of-sight gameplay.
Its close-quarters and multi-leveled design allowed for outdoor and indoor furious fighting, with the opportunities to both sneak around and jump in the middle of the fray at full charge speed. Teleporting gates give an edge for clever and quick players.
My brother helped extensively by giving ideas about how the game flow should work and about the design's aesthetics. Although I did the bulk of editing work, it is an example of collaborative effort.
